  WEEKLY REFLECTION 4 The fourth week of teaching practice was impacted by holidays, which led to a reduced number of class sessions.  On the 13th day, 27th August 2024, Tuesday, during the 2nd period, I taught the topic Multiplication with a difference. The lesson was presented with the help of usual classroom Aids and activity cards. The students engaged well with the lesson, showing keen interest and attentiveness, which made it easier to convey the ideas effectively. On the 15th day, 30th August 2024, Friday, the school's sports event was planned. However, due to heavy rainfall, the event had to be postponed. As a result, no formal classes were held that day. Instead, I spent time interacting with Class 9 students in informal discussions. I also organized a Knowledge Festival Quiz competition for the upper primary and high school students, where winners were selected for the first and second positions in each category.   WEEKLY REFLECTION 3 The third week of teaching practice began on Monday, 19th August 2024. During the 6th period, I taught the topic number curiosities for 9A .  On wednesday, 21st August 2024, in the 2nd period, I delivered a lesson on the topic Multiplication with a difference  The third day, 22nd August 2024, featured an assembly celebrating Sanskrit Day. Following this, prizes were distributed for various activities organized by the Social Science Club, such as quizzes, poster-making, and patriotic song competitions. These events were conducted at both high school and upper primary levels in connection with Hiroshima and Nagasaki Day, as well as Independence Day.   WEEKLY REFLECTION 2 The second week of teaching practice began on Monday, 12th August 2024. In this day I don't get period on 9A. Because an excise officer visited the school and created awareness against drugs during the assembly. And also PTA meeting is conducted from 2 pm to 3.40 pm. On Wednesday, 14th August 2024, during the 2nd period, I covered the topic special operation (problems) for Class 9A. During the 3rd period, I managed a substitution class in 6th standard. On Thursday, 15th August 2024, no classes were conducted because it was Independence Day. The occasion was celebrated with a flag-hoisting ceremony. On Friday, 16th August 2024, the first three periods were allocated for an Independence Day quiz organized by the Social Science Club, during which the winners were selected.   WEEKLY REFLECTION 1 As part of the 2023-25 B.Ed curriculum, the first phase of teaching practice started on Wednesday, 7th August 2024. Our group of 10 members reached Mannam Memorial Higher Secondary School, Vilakudy, at 9:30 AM and began activities under the guidance of the Headmaster and subject teachers. On the first day (07/08/2024), during the 2nd period, I taught the topic Product of Sums from the chapter Multiplication Identities to Class 9A. I used teaching aids such as charts and activity cards, which helped make the lesson interactive and engaging for the students. On the second day (08/08/2024), during the 7th period, I continued the topic Product of Sums with a focus on problem-solving. Charts and activity cards were again used to enhance comprehension.
